Vacancy: Commercial Operations Specialist (2FTE)

For our commercial inside sales department, we are looking for two colleagues (2 FTE). Both positions share a common basis, but each with their own specific area of focus.

Your key responsibilities As a Commercial Operations Specialist, you are an essential link between our field sales team, customers and suppliers. You ensure that commercial opportunities are converted into concrete results. Depending on your profile, the emphasis of the role will be on inventory & procurement or on transport & logistics.

Core responsibilities The following core tasks apply to both positions:

  • Supporting the sales team and maintaining customer contact
  • Processing and follow-up of sales orders
  • Monitoring delivery times and coordinating with internal and external parties
  • Preparation and verification of transport and customs documents
  • Identifying bottlenecks and actively thinking about process improvements

Profile 1: Commercial Operations Specialist – Stock & Purchasing (1 FTE) In this role, the focus is on inventory management and procurement processes. You ensure an optimal balance between availability, costs, and delivery times.

Additional tasks:

  • Managing and optimizing inventory levels
  • Placing and handling purchase orders with suppliers
  • Coordinating with suppliers on pricing, delivery times, and availability
  • Identifying deviations and anticipating supply and demand

Profile 2: Commercial Operations Specialist – Transport Management (1 FTE) In this role, the emphasis is on efficient international transport and logistics handling.

Additional activities:

  • Coordinating with carriers and logistics partners
  • Optimizing transport flows in terms of cost, time and reliability

Your profile:

  • MBO+/HBO level of working and thinking
  • Experience in a commercial inside sales, sales support or a logistics rol is a plus
  • Fluency in the English language (spoken and written) is essential
  • Proficiency in German and/or French is a strong advantage
  • You work accurately, are stress-resistant and you have strong communication skills
  • You feel comfortable in a dynamic, international trading environment
